Shawn Williamson and Anthony Birchwood share a vision of the UK's most loved region. Whilst Birchwood paints the light and the weight of weather that informs the landscape, Williamson creates his extraordinary sculptures from the living rock of cumbria itself.
They also share an interest in the truth of depiction of the place in which they live and work. Between them they explore the nature of one of the most wonderous locations on earth, carrying forward the banner of the great Romantic movement. The launch of this new vision will begin at the refuge of history's romantic poets, artists and writers...... Rydal Hall on the edge of Rydal Water.
Birchwood and Williamson have been life long friends, sharing this Cumbrian vision. Their unique approach has also included training in fine art for different groups in Society. Recently both were elected Fellows Of the RSA
